Race 4 Water 2024

This December, join the Race 4 Water team as they take on a remarkable 50km journey from Callander Bay Ontario to the entrance of Restoule Provincial Park.

The team is walking to raise both awareness and funds for Charity: water, to support them in their mission of providing clean and safe water to communities in need around the world.

For every $40 raised, Charity: water can provide clean water to one person for the rest of their life, transforming communities and creating hope for a brighter, healthier future.

Your support can make a real difference, so come cheer the team on, or donate to Charity: water today to allow them to keep building a better future!

Every day, women and children are forced to endure grueling journeys of up to EIGHT hours just to gather the 5 gallons of water their families need for cooking, washing, and drinking. These treks, often across rugged and dangerous terrain, come with serious risks and even then, the water they collect is frequently tainted with harmful bacteria that can lead to deadly diseases like Dysentery, Cholera and Typhoid. This relentless struggle for something as basic as clean water puts their health, their futures, and their very lives at constant risk.

Charity: water is changing lives by bringing clean, safe water to these communities through innovative solutions like BioSand Filters, Drilled Wells and more, tailored to meet the unique needs of each area, but they don’t stop there. Every project includes a monitoring system to ensure continued functionality, and the community is trained in maintaining their own water systems, empowering them to keep the flow of clean water running for generations to come. With each project, they are not just providing water—they are giving hope, health, and a future.

100% of all donations go directly to Charity: water projects… NO administrative costs.

Our Mission:

Our mission is to provide clean water to the 703 million people worldwide who lack access to safe, drinkable water. We support reputable organizations that prioritize transparency, effectiveness, and measurable impact, ensuring they create meaningful change in vulnerable communities across the globe.

Our History

This marks the seventh year of the Race 4 Water campaign, and we are proud to share our incredible journey so far. Over the past five years, we have raised $2,076.02 for Charity: water projects, directly contributing to providing clean water to communities in Mozambique, Mali, Madagascar, Burkina Faso and Bangladesh.

Throughout the 2018, 2019, and 2023 campaigns, the team competed in four Spartan races, completing 95 obstacles and traversing over 35 kilometers of running trails.

In 2020, we walked a remarkable 240 kilometers over the course of September, committing to at least 5 miles every single day, rain or shine. This translated to the equivalent of nearly six marathons in one month!

In 2021 we completed the challenge of walking 5 Kilometers per day for a week, totaling 35 kilometers.

In 2022, we took on the extreme physical challenge of carrying a five-gallon (41lb) water jug for 8 hours, representing the daily struggles millions face in accessing clean water.
